I've been buying all my music needs from Taulbees for nearly 30 yrs now I was honored to have even painted the Taulbees sign at one time ,you'll not find a better selection or any better service outta any other small town music shop than what Taulbees offers ,and he's always offered great prices on everything in his shop, when you walk into Taulbees you cant help but be overçome with that old time home town feel ,Phil is the only guy that gets my buisness so I recommend Taulbees highly!!

One of the most historic shops in Hazard. Great personal service, great products, and just an all around nice, warm, hometown vibe. It's the only place I go for strings, cables, etc. Just any reason to go in and say Hi to Phil, and bask in the ambience of my childhood... the place is just like it was 30 years ago... ya can't say that about many places now days.

The store is in the heart of downtown Hazard and just a few blocks from every points of interest. Nice vibe for an old town. Just a reminder for people coming from the city, the store can't accept any form of cards for payment. The cash register is probably the oldest type I've seen yet it is so cool to see it operate. Phil, whos in charge of the place is very warm and friendly. He may have limited stocks available but he can assist you with anything that you need with music and stuff. Nice person and a great place. One of my favorite place to visit in this small town.
