Bluegrass Animal Hospital is known for being very kind and gentle with animals, helping nervous pets become relaxed. The staff are very friendly, good with the dogs, and are clearly animal lovers who are patient and want the animal calm. Dr. Ellis and his staff are very caring and take excellent care of the pets, with many clients expressing wholehearted trust. They do a great job on procedures like surgeries, which heal up very nicely. While most feedback is positive, there have been occasional wishes for better communication regarding vaccine details prior to appointments. Overall, they provide excellent care and work clients in when needed, ensuring pets are in great shape.
I've taken my dog here only a handful of times so far, but the staff have been very friendly and good with our dog. The only complaint I have is when I called to inquire about getting our dog neutered, I was told he would only be required to get a rabies vax. However, when my husband took him up there to drop him off (btw: I didn't tell him he would only need 1 shot bc I didn't know something different would be told to him when he dropped him off) the lady told him he needed other shots (which aren't mandatory for the surgery, only the rabies vax was mandatory) I wish I had known this would've came up bc I would've told my husband not go forward with the extra vaccines....read full review
My dog needed meds turns out he needed his check up as well. They worked me in today and my pup was all good. He got his shots bravecto and he is in great shape. Dr Ellis and his staff are very caring . They take excellent care of my babies. God Bless them.
We absolutely love taking out fur babies here! Staff members make you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door. My most critical concern is the care of our animals, and I appreciate finding a facility that prioritizes this rather than breaking the bank.
