“We were new to the area and didn’t have a vet yet. One of our Golden Retrievers came to the door with a profound limp in a clear state of pain. Dr Wixsom agreed to add us to her schedule at the end of the day on the same day that we called. She examined Baxter and determined that he had broken a toe and offered multiple treatment actions but recommended that we only treat his pain and keep him from running or jumping for eight weeks. She correctly said that it could heal on its own if we are careful to keep him calm. Within a couple of weeks he was ready to play like a puppy again but we kept him calm and didn’t allow a lot of activity. By the end of eight weeks he was completely healed and back to playing with his brother. We are thankful that Dr. Wixsom was kind enough to work us into her schedule and for her wise approach to the matter at hand. We highly recommend her and her wonderful staff of caring professionals!“
