The cemetery is absolutely beautiful. Well maintained and lots of hilly areas typical of Kentucky. I’m from the flatlands of TX so i found the land beautiful. Daniel Boones grave was easy to find and afterward we walked around and looked at a lot of the veterans memorials and gravesites.

This grave site is a really nice memorial to Daniel Boone and his wife. It is in a beautiful location above the river in a well kept cemetery. We are glad we took the time to visit. Love the huge tulip tree!
Great views of the capital and river. Interesting point that we learned elsewhere: Boone was translated to anchor the cemetery, i.e. to sell it as a venue for burials. Kind of like Heloise and Abelard for Pere LaChaise.
