Burnside Island is a wonderful place to visit. It is a nature's Wonder. Not to mention a man-made Wonder also. But it does have a lot of beautiful sights camping area fishing area even a swimming area and not to mention the golf course there is really nice course to play.
An easy to moderate hike. Enter the trail to the overlook across the street from the pool. Once you hit pavement again, a sign will direct you to the right. You'll come to a point where you need to go straight (to the right) back into the woods in order to get to the overlook.
We only visited the boat ramp. The ramp was large enough to go 3-4 wide, so it moved rather quickly, which was a huge bonus. There's also plenty of parking for cars and trailers.
