Switchgrass presents and sells a huge variety of art and art-related items made by those near and far to Lucas, Kansas. The store is roomy and attractive and the prices are fair. Most of what I pay goes back to the maker. It's the first place I go when I need a gift. And the thrift shop in the back is ever-changing and full of amazing stuff, too.

Lovely art co-operative! They have a retail gallery space featuring living Grassroots Artists. A large variety of art is available at accessible prices. They offer art classes for ALL ages. Switchgrass is a consistent supporter of community events.I always enjoy browsing the thrift shop in the rear of the store. You can always find a treasure, from vintage clothing, accessories & jewelry to household and craft items.Switchgrass is a must see every time I’m in Lucas. It has been so amazing to watch an idea grow and develop into such a wonderful addition to the Lucas and surrounding communities.I can’t wait to get my next piece of art!!
