I went here to get a perm. I had previously had a perm over 8 months before at Hayden's, and it was great. I waited to make sure my hair was in a good healthy condition before re-perming.
I had got an acid based perm from the Strand many years ago when they were on 30th and had great results. My hair is thin and very straight, so an acid based perm has worked best. I advised the hairdresser that ammonia perms do not work well on my hair. I was assured the formula was fine.. However, I had a lot of fall/hair loss, and my hair was brittle and almost fried after. I did several hair masks to heal it. I would not recommend going here for a perm.

The staff was nice, but I went in there to get my split ends trimmed and when I got home, I still have a ton of split ends! I guess it’s better than cutting off TOO much! But I just wish that for $60, my ends would be healthy & split-end free.

I went in to get my hair dyed Burgundy, Holly decided that red poppy would look better even though it wasn't the color i requested. I left the salon with pieces that were different colors and i could still see the remains of blonde (my previous color). Two days later i took a shower using the shampoo and conditioner (recommended and bought at the salon) that is supposed to help the color stay in and i made sure to take a freezing shower so the color stayed. Despite my best efforts the shampoo pulled the color right out, and it has continued to fade since. Because of her lack of communication abilities, poor service,and inability to correctly dye hair along with the expensive hair products that didn't work, and finally her lack of desire to resolve the situation i STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST this salon specifically Holly!!!!!
