This review is for the orthopedic specialists at Purdue Veterinary School and Small Animal Hospital. Our dog, Pancho, had corrective surgery on 1/10/24 to fix an angular limb deformity. We put my kitten down here months ago and even though it was far more expensive than i thought, the staff was very very nice and caring and let us be with our kitty while he was getting euthanized. the vet also gave us time to say goodbyes and even stepped out of the room to give us privacy. i would definitely recommend this vet, they know what they’re doing and they have excellent interpersonal skills.
i went in yesterday morning because my puppy got parvo. they were ready to treat him with the best care but told me it would be around 3,000 and that they do not do payment plans. they do offer carecredit, but if you don’t get approved for that and you can’t pay the fee upfront, they can’t treat your pet. it’s also a $167 charge upfront before they even came out and looked at my dog. i think the place does have the best care, it’s just impossible to get it if you don’t have the financial means the day of emergency.
