Markay's Castle of the Dogs

We've been sending our dogs to the Castle for 8 years, and have never considered boarding or training them elsewhere. David and Joanna are extremely responsive, trustworthy, and professional, and most importantly they treat all of their dog guests as their own. We recommend the Castle to all of our friends for their dog care needs and continually hear from them how lucky we are to have found such a fantastic place. We can vacation with a peace of mind knowing our dogs are happy romping around the castle with their friends, tended to as they would be in our own home.

Let me preface this review by stating that I have not taken a vacation without our dogs in 6 years, mainly due to the fact that we don’t trust anyone to care for them in the same way we do and are extremely attached to them. Thus I did not take the decision as to who was going to care for them during our European vacation lightly. I interviewed David the owner for almost an hour before deciding to board them there and was immediately impressed by his thoughtful and detailed responses - not to mention the time he took to talk to me. I love this place and the owners. You know a real animal lover when you are one yourself. They are the real deal! It’s amazing how attentive they are and how much they care about your dogs. I will never go anywhere else but the Castle to leave my dogs. It’s clean and my babies are truly safe there. Not to mention the dogs have a vacation themselves getting the opportunity to run and play so much! My 2 large dogs absolutely need and crave exercise so I was thrilled with the outdoor space of the Castle. Don’t go anywhere else!
