Our English bulldog has run the gauntlet on things that could go wrong and we have received the best care from each provider we've seen. Dr. Kelly is our primary provider now and I cannot express how much I appreciate her patient approach with both our dogs and us as she always takes the time to explain our options and helps us choose what's best for us.“

They are both super understanding of how anxious and reactive my goofus of a dog gets at the vet—so funny seeing Dr. Byrd strategically deploying spray cheese for easy vaccinations! They have also been awesome in collaborating with a different vet practice in a different state when I have been travelling and have done last-minute med refills—both of which I know are not easy. “I had been asked to take care of a pet rat during the Christmas break and unfortunately things took a turn for the worse and I didn't know what to do. I called Gilmer Park Animal clinic because I was told that they dealt with small animals and to my surprise they were available to see me the same day. I am a huge animal lover and even though this pet rat was not mine I was very very attached to him and I was extremely upset when I called and even more so when I came into the clinic. Every single person in that building treated me with respect and compassion and they treated this situation as if they had known me for years. I honestly was overwhelmed with how compassionate everyone was there. All three receptionist, the doctor, the assistant, every single person made me feel that my emotions were justified and that we never know how much an animal can affect us until they're gone. They always say that first impressions mean the most and I have to say this is 100% the case with this clinic. My first impression started the second they answered the phone and my impression only grew more positive by the time I walked out of the door. I would like to also mention that the doctor was so sincere in the things she was saying and HOW she was saying them... She really listened to me as I shared my sadness in the exam room and basically told me she was here to answer any of my questions or concerns and to take my time.. even the way she took special care and slowly wrapping him up gently in such a loving and caring way that made him look as if he was simply sleeping... I mean it takes a real special kind of person to show so much care and compassion in moments like these. I never once felt rushed as though I could have asked her 10 more questions if I had them. She was truly amazing and I will never forget her. I just want to thank all of you for what you did and what you said to me today and for taking the time to answer my questions and letting me not feel rushed or embarrassed for my strong feelings I had for that lil guy. The time and care you took with me will never ever be forgotten. Thank you so much and I'm so glad to know that you are literally right around the corner....I will definitely see you again.“

Aisa was given a couple weeks to live and due to the love that Dr. Tracey shows towards her patients and their owners she actually live about six weeks longer than expected. She encouraged her owner to do everything and anything to make her happy give her ice cream and pancakes if that’s what she wants, play, go to the lake.. and Asia did live her best life. “It's the oldest business phone number I remember. I began taking my pets to the SB Animal Clinic in 1972 to see Dr Worley. Then Dr McGowan, Dr Buchs, Dr Kim, and of course Andrea has been 'dog whispering' to my Lhasa Apsos for a really long time, too. Dr Duncan has there long enough to understand the difference, too. It has lost much of the family charm that I so much appreciated. The clinic has always let me make payments for my pets, but not any longer. It's gone corporate on us and I may switch to Roseland if they will have me.The heart is missing and the corporate clowns have arrived. I can't even tell if the woman hiding in the tiny cubby even likes animals and it's just sort of breaking my heart.“
