House of Jane is a barber shop and artistic place with style. It offers professional haircuts, shaves, and beard trims at reasonable prices in a laid back atmosphere. It is also a place to listen to wonderful Americana music, hosting intimate Singer/Songwriter sessions and other cultural events. Guests enjoy great conversations, a great experience, and updates on the local music scene with no distractions. Call or text for an appointment.
I love attending the Singer/Songwriter sessions at the House of Jane. They are intimate gatherings, where chatting with the musicians is part of the charm and draw of the place. The House of Jane is a place to listen to wonderful Americana music. There are no distractions to being able to just hear the music.
Madison native Jane Vonderheide is extremely versatile - not only is she an excellent barber, she is a painter and is involved in the local music scene. Her shop is lined with paintings, most of which are for sale, as well as handcrafted items from other local artists. Friendly place, and while you're waiting for the barber chair you are welcome to bang out some tunes on the shop's piano.
