This organization is founded & run by angels. They are quick to respond, compassionate, organized & run like a well-oiled machine. Yes, there is paperwork one must fill out to surrender an animal, but what there isn't is judgment or belittling. They were the first to respond of four organizations I reached out to. My email was addressed & I was contacted by a great listener who put me in touch with the people who would take in the pregnant lab I came upon. It's been a few weeks & I've yet to hear from any of the other organizations. The woman who is in charge of intake is amazing. Everyone who works for this organization really & truly cares. They've quietly rescued labs & large breed dogs for some 30 years, which is no small feat in the world of rescue! If anyone is hesitant to surrender from fear of judgment, they need not be. These folks have nothing but love for labs & large breed dogs & will bend over backward to ensure they're safe & loved. I am so grateful how easy they made it to find a safe place for a young pregnant lab to have her puppies, also to ensure the pups are healthy, AND THEN to find that plethora of pups good homes!
