Five stars isn’t enough for what Andrew Rector does behind the chair at Jones Barber Shop. The man treats a haircut like a craftsman treats wood, reading the grain before the first pass, never forcing a line that wants to fall its own way. You sit down a little ragged and you stand up looking like the best version of yourself, the one you keep meaning to become.

There’s an old rhythm to it, the kind Greenwood used to be full of and mostly isn’t anymore. Clippers humming low, conversation that goes wherever it wants, and the quiet confidence of someone who has done this ten thousand times and still gives a damn about the ten thousand and first....read full review
