My son recently finished his behind-the-wheel driving with instructor Shannon Miller. I felt sorry for Shannon, knowing that my teenager rarely talked and responded in grunts and one-syllable words. However, after the first lesson, my caveman-like son was replaced with an enthusiastic and TALKATIVE teenager. It was a miracle! He said Shannon always made him feel comfortable and they talked about anything & everything every hour the logged behind the wheel. Shannon must have the patience and fortitude from her experience raising her own two children and being a school bus driver because she's super! When he would practice driving with me, I would hear him mumble driving tips he learned from Shannon. I looked forward to their lessons, because I was able to have lengthy conversations with my teen.
