Probably the first time I've felt comfortable working out! So first of all, John is a great trainer, good guy, and is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, from day one. For the first meeting, we did a simple set of tests to figure out what my basic parameters we're, which I appreciated since I've been thrown into workouts before with a lot of discomfort. Then we say for a while and discussed health, goals, and current status. Having a thyroid condition, anxiety, and trying to get pregnant, I voiced concerns; I stead of brushing them off with an "that's not something to worry about", he instead gave me several recommendations for extra things I could do to help. He also was helpful when I explained that some doctors visits would minimize my visits to once a week, and understood my concerns. Then we did an actual assessment, where he took measurements, weight, ect., and we set some solid goals. I had had some set pretty high, but he took my mental and physical conditions into consideration, and set them lower to be more manageable. After that, we did a meal plan. Then we started working out. And while I can't say results are just streaming in, I can say they are steady. It's taking work, but with regular workouts, and checking in on a regular basis, everything is starting to work together. Something that is important for me to note: I hate regular gyms. All the people make me nervous and nearly impossible to work out well. This is all private. There might be someone doing cardio in the next room, but while in a session, it's just you and him! He doesn't stand there and yell or guilt you, but he does push you to work. If you say something is enough, he does listen, and makes a note of it. It's very personalized, and very private! I know it can seem like an investment, but I will gladly keep coming back here, however long I can. You'll leave tired and sweaty, but after a few sessions, you'll want to keep coming back!
