Dr. Ertel and her vet tech are amazing. I tried her out months ago when we needed vaccinations, and I was impressed with her up to date knowledge about hard to treat allergies, and how caring and engaged they both were. Unfortunately we recently had to put our dog down, and they could not have been kinder. She really cares about the people and the animals, and they were so good to me. And I will say she's more affordable than other places. I'll definitely be a patient for life with our future pets. What a treasure for Brookville to have.
We were on the boat on the lake, 30+ minutes from home when our 7 month old puppy ate some grapes and needed to have vomiting induced ASAP. The usual vet in Richmond didn't have the medication to induce vomiting on hand, and we were going to have to drive to Dayton, almost 1.5 hours away, in a situation where you need to take action within 2 hours. On a whim, I called the Brookville vet, and they were AMAZING! We told them what the situation was, they were ready when we arrived and got us in right away. Brookville Vet Clinic has a wonderful staff and Dr. Ertel is awesome. We have been there several times in the past year or so and we cannot express how happy we are with their professionalism, compassion and overall care.
