I moved out of Angola about ten years ago. I have continued taking my dogs to Dr. Zimmer's office the entire time and was reminded why last week. I was up all of Monday night with my 9 y/o husky as he could not stop coughing. We figured out he had been exposed to kennel cough. While I mostly keep up on his vaccinations, kennel cough is not one of them because we do not board him. I called first thing Tuesday morning in a panic. The office staff assured me they would be able to get him in and taken care of. By noon, he was back home with medicine and was mostly back to normal within a few days. I took my Copper to Pokagon Vet for many years. 11 years ago, my boy got hit by a car and I didn’t know if he was going to make it. I called Doc 15 minutes before they closed on Memorial Day weekend and he got him right in. Stayed open for him, kept him comfy, came in on a Sunday to fix his femur. Fast forward through countless visits, my boy was suffering. I drove up from Fort Wayne so we could be in the most comforting office. Susie and Doc both made his ending so peaceful, I couldn’t have asked for it any other way. I will forever miss my dog and be grateful for their genuine care for all these years.
