called these guys for a quote on refinishing the main floor and the stairs. they came out within a few days and laid out for me what they would do, stain options, dust containment, all that. work took about four days. the floors look like new wood honestly, the color match between the old planks and the few they replaced is really close. price landed right where the estimate said it would. solid experience start to finish, no surprises with the bill
Had the oak floors throughout the main level redone by GoldenGrain and the result is something I keep stopping to look at. The floors were scratched up badly from years of dog nails and there were a few dark stains near the kitchen that I figured were permanent. After the sanding and the new stain went on, every bit of that was gone. We picked a medium walnut color and it warmed up the whole house in a way I wasn't expecting. The finish has a nice low sheen, not shiny, which is exactly what I wanted. GoldenGrain refinished the hardwood on our main level and I keep noticing how different it looks when the afternoon light comes through the windows. Floors have gotten pretty rough over the years so it was time.
