Needing to move ASAP, I needed hardwood floors refinished. They were in an awful state: the worst being a 3 x2 ft spatter and stain of deep red dye. I got a recommendation from a friend and called Neal Sherman.I am so pleased with and thankful to this business for:1. Getting back to my call the same day.2. Scheduling a feee estimate inspection within 2 days. Going way beyond normal hours to do so.3. Being totally upfront about impossibilities of knowing if stain would come out completely with sanding.4. In the need to refinish hardwood floors for house sale, a VERY TIME-CRUNCHED JOB, a friend referred me to Neal Sherman.I called and left my number. Mr. Sherman got in contact with me immediately and showed up within a day to give me a feee estimate. He did the work beautifully, clearly explained the time needed and time needed for the floor to cure or set between each coat. After sanding, a dye stain of deep red was still visible in some cracks between boards in the eating area of the kitchen. He had warned me the stain might not be completely removed in the sanding. As we looked at it and I decided I wanted the two by three feet expanse removed and replaced, I felt no pressure either way from Mr. Sherman. I asked if he could do it and if he could get it done in the time frame. He said yes. AND THAT IS JUST WHAT HE DID!His original bid was the best and the added expense of the patch with new hardwood was minimal. He is courteous and went out of his way to meet the needs of this job from start to finish.
