About A&J Repairs Roof Siding Soffit
A&J Repairs Roof Siding Soffit is a repair-only business serving Vernon Hills and the surrounding areas. Customers describe the team as straightforward people who tell you what they are doing and just do it. The business handles a mix of exterior work, including roof repair, siding repair, soffit repair, fascia repair, gutter sections, and small deck spots with rotted boards. Reviews mention loose roof spots after wind, soffit pulling down, siding that came loose, soffit damage, water getting in behind siding near a corner, and a gutter section hanging weird. Customers say the team finds the spot, seals it up, and fixes what needs fixing. No upselling to a whole new roof and no pushing to replace stuff. Work looks good and is clean, with no half finished spots and no random debris in the yard after. Quotes are fair, and the price comes in close to the verbal quote with no surprise fees tacked on. The crew showed up a little late the first day but called ahead. Customers found the business through local threads and say the folks in Vernon Hills know their trade. It is hard to find people who just repair instead of pushing replacements, so customers will be calling again next time.
After a hail season that beat up half the block, I was expecting to be told the whole roof needed replacing. A&J Repairs Roof Siding Soffit does repair only and that is exactly what I wanted to hear. They came out, went over the slope that was damaged, and found 1 area where the granules were gone and the mat was showing. They repaired that section and checked the flashing at the chimney at the same time. No pressure about a replacement I don't need yet. They also pointed out that the soffit vents on the north side were blocked with paint from a previous owner and cleared them out. It has been dry through everything since and I'll call them again when the next thing comes… read full review
