Love! Love! Love! Absolutely the best place for western riding! Krissy and Ryan are fantastic and both have so much equestrian experience! The horses are all well trained and are excellent to work with. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about Runaway Ranch!

Ryan and Krissy have created a wonderful barn community, and are both very talented instructors. They helped me rekindle my childhood dreams of riding horses, and fostered it all the way through to being a horse owner! My whole family has enjoyed riding there, we have all learned so much! Highly recommend!

This is a place where you can make freinds and even a family you bond with horses and with people and there are summer camps and spring break camps and fall camps they teach you all you need to know they are AMAZING!

From Runaway Ranch

Runaway Ranch is a family oriented farmette located in Sycamore, Illinois. For over 20yrs we've offered affordable horseback riding lessons in Dekalb county for the whole family and specialize in helping adults and kids find their passion for horses. We have many NIU Students and Faculty as well as students from surrounding counties such as Kane, Dupage, Boone, Ogle, and Lee. We continue to be the number one western discipline teaching facility in Dekalb County and have a proven curriculm that continues to develop year after year. We host yearly Workshops, Western speed shows, Birthday Parties, Field trips, Girl and Boy Scouts, and so many different ways to enjoy horses.
