This shop has a refreshing vibe; it was somewhat dark and the layout elongated. I watched a lizard creeping along in its habitat near the back waiting area. There were maybe five patrons ahead of me when I walked in, but the two barbers were flying. Dave is the owner, and he works fast, yet don't assume he isn't meticulous; he cuts a mean flattop. He told me his dad, Bill, was the barber who introduced the flattop style to the Springfield area back in the 1950s when it was orginally devised. Dave is cool and his prices are from a bygone era (fairer still if you pay cash). Legitimate, old-school barber.

Hands-down best place to get a haircut in Springfield. These guys seriously know what they’re doing. I will never go anywhere else
