William Newkirk prepared my tax return this year. When speaking to William one of the first things I told him was I wanted make payments on money owed to the IRS not pay in full. He said that was fine and I needed to sign a Power of Attorney so he could get into my account online to set it up. I wrongfully assumed everything was fine until this morning when thousands of dollars were taken out of my account by the IRS. When I called to talk to William he told me there must of been a misunderstanding, there was nothing he could do about it now, and tried to put the blame on me. Facts are facts. I would not have had to sign the Power of Attorney for him to access my online account if I was just paying the money owed outright. I signed it for him to go in and set up the payment arrangement. An unexpected several thousand dollar expense was hit. Do not trust this firm with your finances.
