If you are a Type 1 diabetic, I'm sure this is not the right group for you. I'm sure Type 2 patients will do fine. I'm a type 1 and been on insulin since 1965. I'm old enough, now for Medicare, and Medicare pays for type 1 patients insulin and strips and pump supplies. However, you need to be seen by a Dr about every 3 months, to prove you are in the care of a physician. This has not happened for me, here. I ran out of of insulin, and almost out of insulin pump supplies. I called to get an appt, and was told how sorry they are, but I can not see the Dr until Jan. 20th. That's unacceptable.
