I recently reached out to American Beam & Steel Inc. regarding some rust I noticed at the bottom of a support column in my garage. From the very start, my experience with them was fantastic. Mark, the owner, promptly asked me to send photos of the issue. After reviewing them, he took the time to call me personally and explain the situation in detail. He identified the column as a schedule 40 pipe filled with concrete and assured me that the rust was only surface level and not a structural concern. The only time I need to be concerned about is if/when the concrete starts showing through.
