Kim and Jim of Wolfersberger Funeral Home were compassionate and knowledgeable during a most difficult time. The loss of my uncle was not anticipated and very overwhelming, specifically because no affairs were in order. Kim and Jim’s efforts helped ease the emotional pain and stress. Kim took time to compose a thoughtful obituary and was careful to confirm the accuracy of details. Additionally, they coordinated with Jefferson Barracks to mediate logistics of his military burial. The owners of Wolfersberger Funeral Home are very courteous, caring, and professional. The loss of my husband/our father was unexpected and very devastating. However, Jim and Kim were so compassionate and made the whole process bearable. They never once tried to take advantage of our grief. The cost was reasonable and the service was extraordinary. Kim spent a lot of time ensuring that my husband’s/our fathers obituary was accurate and listed all his military awards, his service to our church and his relationship with family and friends. Kim was very excellent in paying attention to all the details from the biggest to the smallest. We never once had to worry about anything. 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. Our family was not exempt. In August we lost our father unexpectedly and three months later our mother passed. They were both first generation US citizens. He was from Germany and she was from Newfoundland Canada. Our US family consisted of my parents, my two sisters and their families, and all three of us girls live in different states. We have been lucky to not have had any deaths in the family so when my Dad passed it was all new to us. I interviewed a number of Funeral homes in the area and came back to Wolfersberger. I made the right choice. Kim and Jim were absolutely the BEST to work with. They walked us through each step and gave my parents the funerals they wanted. As my father was retired military, Jim related well and Kim made all of the arrangements for a Jefferson Barracks funeral. From the Patriot Guard leading the funeral procession to buglers, gun salute and flag presentation. It was beautiful and exactly what my father always wanted. This year has been extremely difficult, but having Kim and Jim guide us through the process has been a life savor. They are very considerate of everyone’s needs and helped to calm any anxiety we had. In addition, they put together a lovely tribute video for our parents that we will cherish forever. They also put together a holiday open house with tributes to everyone that passed with in the year. I was surprised when I was presented with lovely ornaments for each of my parents memorials and a video tribute. What made the Holiday video tribute extra special is that they used a picture of our parents together. I can not say enough nice things about Wolfersberger Funeral home and highly recommend them.
