I have been going there since I was 16 and I am 55 now. Never had an issue. It is really not a kids barber shop. They cut kids hair but usually when accompanied by an adult. Not sure they are for young boys that want contemporary cuts. More traditional but reasonable and very nice people. The lady you speak of is the kindest woman you will ever know. They are all very experienced and a great place to go.
