About Osf St Joseph Medical Center
Osf St Joseph Medical Center receives mixed reviews, highlighting both positive and negative experiences. The ambulatory department staff are praised for being amazing and top-notch, especially for treating patients with care and going above and beyond, including during surgeries. The staff in this area are recognized for their kindness and dedication. Similarly, the team at the OB department received high praise for providing an incredible experience during childbirth, with every staff member being supportive and caring. However, the emergency department (ED) has received criticism. Some patients expressed concerns about the physicians' lack of proper medical training and compassion. One reviewer reported that ED physicians failed to recognize seizures and dismissed serious infections despite evidence. There were also concerns about physicians making unprofessional comments and suggesting unproven treatments, leading to feelings of distrust. On the other hand, primary care providers, like Nurse Practitioner Taylor Perry, are highly appreciated for thoroughness, clear teaching, and prompt service. Patients value the helpful office staff and efficient process, often being seen quickly and receiving attentive care. Overall, Osf St Joseph Medical Center is appreciated for its excellent outpatient and OB services, though experiences in the ED vary significantly.
The staff in the ambulatory department are simply amazing. They were definitely top-notch and treated my daughter like gold with her surgery today. They all went above and beyond. Thank you soooo much!!!
Most of the nurses are wonderful. However, the physicians seem to lack proper medical training, and have a lack of compassion as well. At least in the ED, that is. The rest of the building is great! The ED physicians failed to acknowledge/recognize seizures, that I thought was my losing consciousness at the time. I also had an awful infection that they denied, despite climbing WBC. I could have died if it weren't for my obgyn saving my life with antibiotics. The ED physician tried to get me to drink lidocaine for my stomach, when there was no evidence to suggest a stomach problem. the ED physician told me "I don't need Facts or Evidence, I use my Expertise!" I didn't know that's how they teach them in medical school. 🤔 edit to add: Notice how the only reviews on here that are "recommendations" are mostly spam posts? 🤔 Lots of negative posts from real people. Not many real positive experiences! But beware, because Carle Bromenn ED treated me even worse! Thank God my obgyn saved my life!
My wife had a baby here and the staff was just absolutely incredible. Every single one of them! Was such a great experience here.
