If you're looking for a reliable and highly skilled barbers/stylists then look no further. I spent over a year looking for a place to get a haircut on the east side, and I finally found a home at J F. Definitely worth the price and level of service that you get.
I grew up in the neighborhood and have been to every last barber/salon in town. Looking back, I regret that I didn't come to JF Baber Shop sooner. I have now been a regular for a year and every time I come in I remember why I haven't ventured anywhere else. He's been in the business for twice as long as I've been alive. He knows the current trends - he was also barbering when those styles came to existence - and absolutely knocks them out of the park. Pro Tip: It's a one seat shop. So make sure you scope it out ahead, and make sure you bring cash.
This place is what a barbershop is supposed to feel like. I walked in and noticed the old school cash register, I don't think it works, he has it purely for show. I have lived in Niles for 25 years and have never come here, although I always wanted to. I recently started growing a beard and I needed it trimmed up, so I figured what better time than now. It was an excellent trim and hair cut, and only $20. Everyone who walked in and out knew his name, I think it was Jerry, but not sure. I have finally found a barber I can trust, after going to sportclips a numerous amount if times and them continually butchering my hair, I finally found something in my neighborhood.
