Gear Headz Auto has been a premier auto repair shop in Mokena and Lockport, IL since 2019. They work on all makes and models from 1929 to 2022, providing quality work at affordable prices. Their mechanics are well-trained and friendly, aiming to make customers feel comfortable bringing their vehicles in for any repair need.
Customers consistently praise the 5-star service at Gear Headz. They note that the staff and technicians are communicative, honest, and complete work quickly. Many consider it their new go-to shop for all automotive repair needs and highly recommend it to friends and family. One customer highlighted the exceptional attention to detail, sharing how the owner took extra time to research an exhaust system issue rather than rushing ahead with an installation.
The shop stands out for their commitment to customer satisfaction, offering rides to and from homes in Mokena and performing follow-up services at no cost. However, there was one negative experience reported. A customer brought in their GMC for a flat tire and AC check, and while repairs were made to get the heat working, the shop advised against checking the AC since it was winter. This customer later faced engine issues after picking up the vehicle, which led to needing an entire engine replacement due to oil depletion.
Despite this one unsatisfactory experience, Gear Headz generally receives excellent reviews for their honest, reliable, and efficient auto repair services in the Mokena and Lockport communities. They show a genuine care for maintaining satisfied customers by responding to reviews and ensuring that everyone leaves feeling confident in their service.
This was my second visit with Gearhedz to service my GTI and not only did they do a good job at an affordable price, they performed a follow up service for me at no cost and they provide rides back and forth to my house in Mokena. Would highly recommend.
I've taken our pickup trucks and our jeep to Gear Headz over the past few years. If you want to deal with really nice people that know what they are doing, this is the place for you. All of the work they have done has been top notch. I highly recommend taking your vehicles to them.
Great experience. Small repair on my exhaust taken care of same day. Repaired in a timely manner. Staff was friendly, honest and fair. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
