After months of unsuccessful treatments for continuous UTI's by the vet that had treated my 10 year old golden girl since she was a puppy I heard about McKenna's. Within days my girl was being treated for bladder cancer and referred to the University of IL oncology and just completed her first round of chemo that has already had very positive results.
The staff and facility diagnostics at McKenna's are exceptional and it has literally opened the door to the possibility of a clinical trial at the U of I that very possibly will save my precious golden girl from a certain end of life prognosis.
Holy Guacamole! What a great vet visit! I have a giant pet ox and finding someone that has the safe, comfortable and large enough facility to accommodate Albert the Ox for his hoof trimming and vaccines was hard to find. Dr. McKenna and the entire staff were a complete delight and calmed my worries! (I was a nervous Nelly) Albert and I had the best time, learned so much and now he's got happy feet! I can't say enough great things about the entire staff! Albert agrees he was scared but with all the safe calming chutes for him to walk through - he too learned that hood trim can be fun!

We've been using McKenna Veterinary Services for approximately 20 years. The gals out front are always cheerful and helpful. Dr. McKenna always has a smile and is thorough looking over our pets and asking questions about how they're doing. We will continue to taking our pets there and we would recommend him to anyone.
