“They called and came out quickly for estimate. Rates were reasonable. We set up appointment that day for the following day and then he called and said he couldn't make it that day. I was little put off by that, but he came a couple days later. The work was quick and efficiently done and they cleaned up everything nicely. I will use them again.“

“Having mature trees in my yard was one of the reasons I bought my home, so taking good care of them is important to me. I spent a lot of time making sure I found a certified arborist who is qualified and properly trained, and most importantly who truly loves and cares about trees. I didn’t want any of the large commercial outfits to come and do more harm than good. Everything about Tony and Limbgrabbers impressed me. He visited and walked my property to understand everything that concerned me, from my dying lilac bushes to my maple trees and a redbud that was looking like it was not going to make it. He took time to thoroughly explain the proper process for pruning trees, he pointed out damage that had been done from lack of proper care in the past, helped to explain how that could be corrected, and told me it was possible to save my lilacs! He sent a detailed proposal that laid out a clear plan for the phases it would take to address everything. This also made it possible to have things done as I was able to move to the next phase. When Tony arrived with his crew to do the work, safety was their absolute first priority. His team works well together and they were very conscientious about how they left my property. Part of my fence was falling down and we agreed it was a good place for them to access the backyard easily to do the work that day. Before he and his crew left, they braced it for me (way better than it was!) so my dog wouldn’t escape. You just don’t find people who care like that these days! Tony is a kind and considerate person, he has an amazing work ethic, plus he’s energetic and funny to boot! I cannot recommend him and his crew highly enough.“

“We had a fruitless pair tree that had split right down the middle after a horrible wind storm. Although it was still standing, it was 25 feet tall and would have caused significant damage if it fell. After some ridiculous quotes I spoke with Mike, the owner of US Tree Service, who gave us an offer that we could not turn down. His team was out in two days 08/28/2025) and took down the whole tree in under an hour. Wow.

Unfortunately, it was discovered that one of the felled branches hit a custom-made metal lamp that was in our yard that was mounted on an old cement street lamp pole. There was very rare glass inside the lamp that was smashed and the iron lamp was in pieces. Mike came out and did his best to fix it, even bringing it back to his shop but it needed to be professionally repaired. I brought the lamp down to a professional in Kankakee who works with stained glass and iron welds. It took some time to finally get it repaired, as it was a custom piece.

Now here is where things take a turn in the right direction. Mike, owner, never cashed the check we wrote him for the initial work, cutting down the tree. I explained that I was going to bring it to a professional. The lamp was eventually repaired but the repair was more than the actual removal of the tree. I explained the circumstances to Mike and gave him the invoice of the repair. Mike was out the next day with a check that supplemented the repair bill. THIS is how companies with integrity conduct business! We all know it was an accident but the lamp was still broken. Without missing a beat, Mike made it right.

He is very knowledgeable about the trees and when is the correct time to trim things back. We have used Dawson for years. Everyone we interacted with has been great.
