I was a practitioner for about 15 years until the age of 18 and had to leave for college. I worked up to my second degree black belt and it took 15 years, so you can assume this school believes in the philosophies a martial arts school should: discipline, hard work and perseverance. I am currently 21 years old and I owe Hapkido my life as it taught me self discipline at such a young age and led me to carry those same philosophies throughout high school up into the present. Went to the Naperville location for years in the early 90s. Best learning environment you would wish for. No macho BS or egos here. Master Change still moves like lightning since I saw him back in 1991. I wish I could still and I almost half his age. He teaches peaceful approaches but he will give you the tools you will never forget. Unlike most places his technique is the best through repetition. So if you defend against a punch over and over again...... you simply react without hesitation and look down and think. That was cool lol.
