Something small but telling. They put a stand-off on the ladder so nothing marked the gutter, and they noticed a couple spots where the previous roofer had dented it. The repair itself was quick and clean. That kind of care usually means the rest is done properly, and it was.
Looking at a gutter that had come away from the fascia and taken half the roof edge with it. somebody was out in 40 minutes because they were finishing nearby, which I really was not expecting. they refixed it properly into solid wood and replaced the section of edge that had rotted. it looks right and it drains right. no fuss and a fair price for what it was.
Couldn't work out why the porch ceiling kept staining. ROOFX Roofing Company and Gutters found it in two hours. The gutter behind it was overflowing back under the shingles. Fixed on that same visit and that ceiling has stayed clean since, wet spring included.
