Piggy backed onto my wife's appointment for a great haircut! Team formerly at Lift in Lincolnshire that we've been going to for years!

If you are a bride getting married at the Lincolnshire, I know it’s easier to book your beauty services where you’re getting married, but please, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY BEAUTY. TLDR; manager should be fired, lots of miscommunication between the spa and me and my bridesmaid, wouldn’t honor originally quoted prices, didn’t get same artists for trial as day-of. Avoid at all costs.I got married 2-29-2020; my bridesmaid spoke with the manager, Cheryl, over the phone. She offered us some amazing stuff, willing to book girls who just wanted curls for only $25. Party gets an additional 20% off the price of up-dos and makeup. I was quoted for $80 hair trial, $80 makeup trial, $95 day-of hair and $85 day-of makeup. I should have known at that point it was too good to be true, but my bridesmaid confirmed with them all of this information another 2-3 times as we got closer and closer to the date. At one point, I also spoke with the manager, she had told me some different information from what she told my bridesmaid, and my bridesmaid called back and got it all settled. However, they had charged me $250 for just the trial as opposed to $170 which I was quoted, a 40% increase (my fault for not paying attention). When I talked to them about it the next day over the phone, she told me very different information than what my bridesmaid had told me. She wouldn’t give me a straight answer as to why – my bridesmaid (a little bit more of an assertive person than I am), called when I was clearly frustrated and upset, and the manager said “Well, we can’t get any stylist to do hair for $25.” Which I sort of understand – that’s an INCREDIBLY cheap price for a hair styling. But if that’s the case…why did you offer it in the first place? And if you knew you couldn’t get anyone to do hair for that price, why did you tell us this information only 2 months before the wedding? Cheryl kept telling me and my bridesmaid different information, and I tried to remain kind and professional but I ended up getting the Lincolnshire’s coordinator that was working with me, Angela, and the Lincolnshire’s assistant manager involved in the situation to get it settled. Finally, we agreed that because I over paid, I would only pay $25 for day-of services (as this is what would be left over using the original prices I was quoted). They would do hair styling for my bridesmaids at $45 now, but not honor the 20% off. This disaster lasted a total of 2 weeks before it was finally settled. However, because of all of this difficulty, I no longer felt confident having all my girls get their hair and makeup done with artists who probably felt we were shortchanging them (until I later learned that their artists are just basically contractors and aren’t necessarily regularly scheduled). The final decision was to cancel everything with the salon except for my makeup, because I loved the technique that the artist Ashley used for my foundation with the airbrush and decided to stick it out. I told this to Cheryl, and this is when she informed me that the artist I did my trial with, Ashley, would not be available for the day of my wedding and that I would be working with another artist! THEN WHY DID I DO MY TRIAL WITH HER?! I was so frustrated but had no other option for a makeup artist that could do airbrush makeup, so I hoped for the best. I did, however, make sure that this new artist was trained on the airbrush, and Cheryl assured me that yes, she was, so it would be okay. Day of the wedding comes around – I’m talking to the artist and she says that she isn’t really familiar airbrush. I am sitting in my chair silently fuming. Courtney, however, was comfortable enough to try it and supplemented the foundation with what she is more comfortable with and it truly did turn out beautifully – she was a lot of fun to work with. I gave her a nice tip (it’s not her fault the spa’s manager is terrible). They did honor the $25 pricing, and I was so incredibly glad to never have to work with them again.

Well I don't even know where to begin..EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!!!!! My bridal party and I had our wedding hair and make up done in Beginning of feb . The pricing was up front and straight forward, we had no issues. As any bride would I was very nervous but everything went so smoothly. We called other salons in the area and they had beat all the prices. They even offered us a free couples massage on our 1 year anniversary and gave me a make up touch up kit for the day , which was such a good idea! I would definitely recommend getting your hair and make up done here! My grandma Margaret absolutely loved her hair and make up. Glad I was able to share that special moment with her. The team was very professional , did amazing work and I would definitely go back.

Wonderful, personalized service, a full service relaxation room while you briefly wait between services, and high quality spa services! Thank you! (Wish I could have kept the robe, I'd live in it.)

I'd like to see if I can book them for my wedding, which is at the hotel. But they never answer their phone? I've called on 5 separate days at various times and no one ever answers. It's making me very wary of their ability to handle an entire bridal party.

Worse place ever. I don't even know where to start. I stayed at the resort for a two night stay. On my first day, Saturday, I went down at 9:45am and asked for a manicure and was told either 12:00 or 5:00. I took the 12:00. I also asked for a blow out but was told "she's fully booked". I don't know but this place seems to only have one person working there. My nail person was also doing hair cuts. The technician told me to look at the OPI and I told her I was there for a Dazzle manicure. She told me where to look. I couldn't decide which one and I finally chose one. She didn't even suggest anything. She just said "oh natural". The technician didn't even ask if I wanted my nails cut. She just filed some of the nails. Some were rounded some were squared. Didn't even bother to ask how I wanted them. Then when she put the polish on my nails she didn't even do the polish on the nails til the cuticles. She just put the polish on my nails and didn't seem to care that it covered the entire nail. My hand when you hold it up away look like they have a brown tint from the polish to the cuticles. I had to ask to get some of the cuticles redone. I also had to ask to get one of the nails fixed and she seemed upset that she had to redo the nail. Actually I should have asked to get it all redone. The front desk didn't even know how to bill my nail manicure visit. I had to ask how they figured it out as I was there earlier and was told the price was $10 less than they billed me. I had a dazzle nail done. I will never go there again. I I can give it a minus rating I would.

Came here in July for balayage and had a great experience. Hair looked awesome, people working were very nice, the location was amazing. I tried to make an appointment before Christmas but the woman told me they "could not accommodate me" for that week. I understand that it must've been a very busy week for the stylist. However, for the past 2 weeks I have been trying to make an appointment to get my roots highlighted. I have called 5 times, and 2 times they took my name and number for an appointment. They said their stylist is on call, so they would get back to her to see when there is an opening and get back to me. I never got a call back any time so I had to keep calling to try for an appointment. I finally called for the 5th time and they then said they're not sure if the stylist is on vacation or not and they haven't gotten a call back for me. I got that information the 5th time I called. I never thought getting an appointment at a spa (which has a salon in it) would be so difficult. I understand that it's around the holidays but I do not understand why/how it is so difficult to just get an appointment. I just said the next opening; I didn't need an urgent appointment. But waiting two weeks is pushing it. I will be going elsewhere for highlights because of this. Will never go back. It's very unprofessional to never call back someone trying to make an appointment, and to not even know if the stylist is on vacation for the holidays.
