My son used to go here. They are awesome with kids. The only reason why he stop going was because he wanted to focus more in music. Master G and his daughter are really patient with kids. Highly recommend it.

Master G is an excellent Instructor with enormous experience, his school is a gift to this neighborhood. I have known him for 5 years. I highly recommend this school for kids and adults.

Excellent martial arts academy, a great place to take your children to learn discipline and improve their fitness, mental wellbeing and confidence. Master G is one of the best teachers of the Taekwondo and Hapikdo disciplines in Chicagoland. He is a long time student of Grand Master Ted Kim. My 2 children studied under Master G in Woodridge for 3 years before going to college. I highly recommend this school.

In 1993 the American Taekwondo Academy opened its doors for the first time in Naperville, Illinois and has endured over two decades of change, growth and the overall spirit of Taekwondo. It is through unsurpassed instruction and long-time dedication to the community that the American Taekwondo Academy credits its success. Our newest location, now in Joliet, Illinois, promises to continue the legacy originally born in 1971 in the hopes of reaching our 75th Anniversary close to 30 years from now.
