Thank you Washington Memory Gardens for your flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond in burying my brother-in-law. We called on a Tuesday and had his burial on Saturday. Completed lots of paperwork in a few days and got it done! Appreciate your support!
I drive across two states to do volunteer, to repeat volunteer-bear-all-costs, “graving.” This is volunteer work where “gravers,” as we are called, take online requests to visit graves of requesters’ loved ones then photograph the graves and upload to the Find A Grave website.Since my family members are buried at Washington Memory I listed the cemetery as one where I can volunteer to fill a lot of requests. NOT SO FAST.The cemetery is very, very hard to navigate.Office staff will supply a map to grave sections and sites, but the map is hard to read.The. My mother passed from Covid19 in 2020. The staff is strictly about money so if you don't have it you can't go to Washington Gardens. I experienced a lot of pushy harassing to purchase her headstone from them. My family & i went elsewhere because they were too expensive. They went off!!! Totally off they didn't want to talk to me anymore but had to. They gave Legacy Headstones all types of problems & me. They called constantly about the $570 application fee i had to pay to allow the stone to be put there. They disgraced Legacy Headstones name because August is the deadline to accept applications for the spring. Phileas left nasty messages on the 4th of July about the stone...read full review
