“If you're having a problem with your car or truck, you should talk with John at USAV Auto, North Park in Herrin.
He's the best, most honest, most reliable, and lowest cost mechanic in this area of Southern Illinois, in my opinion.
When my motor mounts were bad on my Jeep, I bought both engine and the tranny mounts on Rock Auto for $45.
(O'Reilly's was $42 each for the engine mounts, $30 for the trans mount.)
Three other area shops quoted me $350 - 500 for labor, and I would have to leave it there for 1 - 2 weeks before they would get to it.
But I learned about him from a friend, and John replaced all 3 in 2hrs for $125, no other waiting, and I never had an issue again with broken mounts.
And when my Blazer intake manifold gasket was leaking, other shops wanted $500 - 700 to fix it. The Chevy dealer on N Park in Herrin said it would be between $1200 and $1400, unless they had to reprogram the ICU, then it would be $2900.
(Why would you have to reprogram the computer to replace a non-electronic system part?)
John replaced it in 3 hours for $325 including the gasket. And that's been over 30,000 miles ago. And haven't had another issue with it since.
Do you really have to get it fixed by a genuine Dealer mechanic with genuine OEM Parts?
There are a LOT of high quality aftermarket parts available for a lot less cheese than Dealer OEM parts.
And John at USAV Auto is your Go-To top notch Auto Mechanic!
“The workers were very kind and seem very knowledgeable of thier job. Service was great and fast plus I can tell they did what they said car rides alot better.“
