Jacob's Geode Shop and Mine offers a unique and fun experience for visitors. For a flat fee of $25 per bucket, you can spend as much time as you want searching for geodes in the mine area. Be prepared to bring your own tools, gloves, and buckets, as well as shade, water, and snacks. The mine area is partially shaded in the afternoon, but be sure to wear sunscreen and bring fluids if you plan to visit early in the day. The staff is helpful in providing directions, but be mindful of the terrain and avoid driving through the creek without proper clearance. With patience and perseverance, you can uncover a variety of geodes, from tiny to larger ones.
I brought my daughter here to go geode hunting with friends. We had a fun time. We found quite a few Geodes.
However, we were in a car. When we spoke with the man about where to go. He told us how to get there, but he didn't tell us that we shouldn't drive the car down. So I ended up bottoming my car coming up out of the creek. (Yes. I had to drive through a creek to get to the area that you mine. I would have backed up, but there was another car right behind me.)
It is $25/ bucket for as long as you want to be there. Make sure to bring some sort of shade and plenty of water. Bring your own tools, gloves, and buckets.

Seriously a fun place if you know where to look ! Spent 1 day there with my wife and kids, we found a five gallon bucket worth of geodes ! Super fun will be planning another trip again !
I had an amazing experience here. I found a 5 gallon bucket worth of crystals in only 3.5 hours. It's a lot of work breaking apart the shale to expose the geodes but I enjoyed it. The owner was very friendly and offered tips at the beginning on how to find the geodes. I would for sure return. It's only $25 a bucket which is a great deal!
