had SmarTech out for a bunch of small stuff that had been piling up. two outlets that didn't work, a ceiling fan that needed replacing, and a breaker that kept tripping when we ran the microwave and toaster at the same time. figured I'd just get someone in to knock it all out in one visit instead of dragging it out. the electrician showed up on time, took a look at everything, and gave me a price before starting anything. nothing felt like upsell. he found the breaker issue was actually a loose wire in the panel, not the breaker itself, so that was good to know. fan looks great, outlets work, breaker hasn't tripped since. paid what he quoted. easy enough that I'll probably...read full review

got a smart thermostat and a ring doorbell installed plus they ran a new circuit for the ev charger in the garage. the charger setup was the main reason i called, other places either didnt want to touch it or quoted insane numbers. smartech came in reasonable and knocked it out in an afternoon. doorbell works perfect, thermostat is connected to my phone and actually responds. car charges overnight no issue

The main thing was upgrading from the old 100 amp panel to 200 amp because we kept tripping breakers whenever the AC and the dryer ran at the same time, which in summer was basically every day. They swapped out the entire panel, meter base, and the weatherhead connection to the utility. All the old cloth wiring on the first floor got replaced with romex at the same time, which I was nervous about because I thought they'd have to open up a ton of drywall but they fished most of it through from the basement and attic and only cut maybe four small access holes total.
