One example stands out. In 2012-13, I began to experience intermittent, debilitating pain in my left knee. I went to an orthopedic specialist, was diagnosed with a mono-arthritis, prescribed pain meds and cortisone, and told I would likely have to have a knee replacement in 10 years. But Claudette took a different approach. She started me on a treatment regimen of acupuncture and Chinese herbs in combination with dietary changes that resolved the problem within 6 months. I no longer have pain and am nowhere near getting a knee replaced. Claudette is not anti-western medicine. But under her care, I find I rely on it less while feeling better than ever.
