“Wow, really impressed. I popped in to see if they did alterations to fix a small tear on my jacket. She took it immediately and put in a temporary patch so I can have my jacket for the weekend. She told me this was only a temporary fix that she didn't charge for and advised me to bring it back to be fixed correctly. A small act of kindness really goes a long way, will definitely be returning.“

“I remember in the early 1960s my father took his pants here every week...parked out front and sent me and my brother in....they gave free lollipops... don't know if they do anymore....but a few years later my dad switched to the old Norge Village that used to be in Almar Plaza...no lollipops. There used to be a Gulf Oil station next to Charm Cleaners. I remember they had a big handwritten sign out front that said "white gas." Must have been there till at least 1965, because I could not read before then. I thought it meant that their gas was white. Did not realize till years later that it meant that they did not serve "coloreds". But Magnusson's Standard across the street did not discriminate. I think South Holland was still a "sundown town" back then.“

“Since 1996, have taken clothing to this dry cleaner and more recently, utilized seamstress service. Couple of pants altered without complaint --cost or quality. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. As with everything, it's not perfect. In those couple of instances, it was inconvenient but the issues were resolved to satisfaction @no additional cost.
