About Fox Run Golf Links
Fox Run Golf Links offers an excellent golf experience in Chicago's NW suburbs, featuring a new clubhouse and welcoming staff. The facility includes golf simulators with over 85 courses, multi-sport challenges, and skills challenges for year-round play. The course itself is well maintained and has a nice layout with a multitude of hole designs, though players should be prepared for water hazards that may lead to lost balls. The back 9 presents challenging target shot holes, adding to the fun of the game. The bar serves quality food and drinks, and the friendly bartenders enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors have noted the lack of a driving range, which detracts from their experience. Despite some testing holes, players enjoy their time at Fox Run Golf Links and are likely to return for future rounds.
*edit* Course was really well maintained, challenging but a lot of fun. We'll likely play again. Still don't understand the lack of driving range....lost 1 star for that.
Tee time is tomorrow so I haven't even played yet, but how do you NOT have a driving range available? The range associate with the course is a few blocks away and doesn't open until 0900....at least make the range self-serve for those that want to warm up prior to an early round. I'll update my review if the course is outstanding....not really holding my breath.
Course is in great shape. Greens are good and roll true. Staff and management are good. New clubhouse is nice. They have simulators now. Can’t tell you about the food. Kitchen closes before our league is fully done playing each week so we go somewhere else.
It’s two different layouts, first nine holes is very forgiving if you miss the fairway but bring your golf course management skills for the back nine holes. Water, narrow fairways and out of bounds. Greens are very well taken care of. Good place to have a fun time with your golfing buddies.
