floors look great. stairs look great. price was fair for the size of the job. we have about 1100 sq ft of oak on the first floor plus the staircase going up and they did it all in less than a week. the crew was quiet which i appreciated since i work from home some days. dust was minimal, way less than my coworker warned me about when she had hers done a couple years back by a different place. theres not a ton of refinishers serving Elburn that came up when i was searching, RFT was one of the few with actual reviews and pictures of their work so i reached out. glad i did. the stain we picked looks even better in the actual house than it did on the sample square. one of...read full review
the main thing RFT did for us was a full hardwood refinish on the first floor plus the stairs, and the stair work specifically came out better than I was expecting. stairs are tough because every tread gets hit differently.. the middle of each one is more worn than the edges and getting an even finish across that is harder than doing an open floor. they did it though. you can't see the wear pattern anymore and the color across each tread is consistent. the first floor is also in great shape, they matched the stain to a sample from the original installation which we had held onto and the color is really close and when you move between rooms you don't notice a shift. the...read full review
