Being an older female adult taekwondo learner, I felt intimidated to start as a new student. After I joined a try out session with the adult group, I found that the instructors at Strive are very friendly and patient. They encouraged me to not push myself too hard at the beginning and just do the best I can.
I attended a different martial arts school for a while but quit due to the pandemic. That other school was much less patient and had strict policies and contracts, so I did not want to return there.
The people at Strive are really nice and care about their students. I’m enjoying the workout and the stress relief. I’m especially happy that I am learning self-defense so that I can defend myself, if needed.
I encourage all adults to join up to be a better you!
Our 4 year old son has been taking classes for a few months now and we cannot say enough positive things about the Strive program and staff! The owner, Master Bill, is on site everyday and in the classes so really gets to know each child and family. He is encouraging but firm and the kids all have genuine interest and respect for him. The flexible class schedule is a huge added benefit for our families’ busy schedule, and makes it so it is never a problem to get to class weekly.

What sets this school apart is Master Bill’s open-minded approach; he is always willing to listen and works closely with parents to ensure both the children's and the parents' needs are met. You truly feel heard as a member of this community.
The facility itself is fantastic—it has a vibrant energy and a great layout with open glass viewing areas, so you can easily watch your child practice and see their progress firsthand. It is a wonderful environment for any family looking for quality instruction and a supportive atmosphere.
