Last week I was driving on I-394 in Crete. I got behind a Plum Valley Landscaping truck. The truck had no tailgate. It was dropping rocks out of the bed and all over the road. The rocks were pinging off my SUV, bouncing all over both lanes of the road. I had nowhere to go due to traffic. I knew it was going to happen, and sure enough, a rock cracked my windshield. I was able to pull next to truck at a stoplight and informed him he was dangerously dropping rocks out of his truck bed. He said, "I know". I told him he cracked my windshield and I will be contacting Plum Valley Landscaping, as they will need to pay for my windshield. He said, "OK". I called Plum Valley Landscaping 4 times over a 5 day period. NO answer on any call, so I left messages each time. I finally received a call from a secretary, she told me all my messages were forwarded to both Tim Van Baren and Don VanBaren. Neither Tim or Don had the courage or morals to own up to their negligence in allowing their truck to be on the road with no tailgate, dropping rocks, causing a potentially dangerous situation. it was very expensive and time consuming to get my windshield repaired. Don and Tim should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves to not own up to their negligence. I would recommend not ever using Plum Valley Landscaping.

If I could give zero stars I would as this company is unresponsive and has not called me back to address the dead tree that they planted in front of my home. I’ve been promised that they would come out to do the work and they haven’t. They lied and have said they called me when they didn’t and never ever answer any messages. Don’t hire them!!!!

I didn't hire this company Nicor did and what a bad idea. The owner is nasty rude yelling at me while standing on my property because he did not honor my wishes or follow my instructions to not work on my property unless I see the sod first. He's erratic and manic beating on my door after I'd instructed him to leave. I honestly thought I'd have to call the authorities. I made Nicor aware of this highly unprofessional individual.
