This service features a calm, patient, and incredibly attentive method, with accommodations like a private low stimulation room, optional capes, frequent regulation breaks, and the use of YouTube. The barber works with impressive speed in sensitive areas, pauses when needed, and takes time to desensitize tools. This approach results in the best haircut, with children not crying, looking forward to the next visit, and even not wanting to leave. It is a gem for special needs parents and any parent, offering more than just a cut—it’s a place to relax, recharge, and leave feeling your best.
We had an amazing experience with Angel! His sensory-friendly approach made a significant difference for my son. As a mother, I've always found it challenging to find someone who is patient and understanding of my son's autism, especially since he can become easily overstimulated. Angel was incredibly calm and patient, and he was very accommodating about taking breaks when needed. I highly recommend Angel!
We had an incredible experience with Angel for a sensory friendly haircut. For the first time ever, my 8 year old son sat in the chair all by himself…no sitting on my lap and no bear hugs required to get through it! Angel was incredibly attentive, pausing the moment my son showed discomfort to let him readjust. He worked with impressive speed in sensitive areas, which is such a vital skill for our kiddos. He offered accommodations I’ve never seen at regular salons like making the cape optional, frequent regulation breaks, YouTube on the TV, and a private low stimulation room away from the usual salon noise. He even took the time to desensitize the tools by showing my son the clippers and letting him feel the vibration on his arm first. We are so lucky to have found this gem…if you are a special needs parent (or any parent really!), you need to check this place out!! Thank you again Angel!
Blown away at how amazing our experience was! Having a son who is limited verbal and consistently moving we were nervous…. But his hair could not have come out better, thanks to the understanding, acceptance and patience of the staff!! A million times thank you and see you for his next haircut!
