Drake Homes just finished our home and we couldn't be more pleased. Everyone of their staff and contractors were top notch. Thay did everything they promised.
We are so very thankful we had the opportunity to build with Drake Homes! Their process is streamlined and efficient, and makes it so there are very little decisions that have to be made once they break ground. Their leadership is always willing to listen, advise and throw out ideas as well, and we are now thankful to call them all friends. Attention to detail is very important to our family and Drake Homes exceeded our expectations! We simply will not recommend anyone else but Drake Homes to others when it comes to building homes. We are so thankful for them and look forward to building memories with our family in our beautiful new home!
This is the second time I have built a home so have some basis for comparison. Poor craftsmanship and quality and communication all over (we were nowhere near as important as the Texans building two homes) but I think the best example of their failures is the "color chart." This is the list of selected colors, finishings, etc. When there was a discrepancy between our choice and their work, owner Avery Adams explained it wasn't a contract. So we were held to our choices, but they could make changes (for the cheaper, worse) as they saw fit. In our color chart, for example, we signed off on half light garage doors with built in blinds. They installed half light doors with no blinds. When we asked them to install our selection, they refused and said not to worry, we hadn't paid for the cheaper doors they put in. By that logic they could have put in cheaper flooring, windows, faucets, and refused to change any of that. But our fixed cost contract did not change. We paid the contacted amount without receiving what we selected.
