I joined the club a few months ago. So far it has been a great experience with lots of amenities for the price. I am particularly impressed with the swimming pool and hot tub area. All the equipment is well-maintained and very clean. My only criticism is the indifferent staff sitting at the front desk that don't greet you when you walk in and are usually on their phones! Not a good optic
Great gym and great staff but men take their shirts off in the workout rooms and it made my girlfriend uncomfortable. For survivors or just anyone who may have experienced abuse, a half-nude man encroaching on their personal space can trigger a traumatic episode. Its happened literally every time we’ve gone to this location.I tried explaining this to the staff and they didn’t seem to care at all and laughed about it. I was a personal trainer for many gyms, and they should enforce the rules on this.
Now the place is clean, they try to keep it organized and safe... The people are very chill and kind, I been in other like the one on Melrose park who is a complete mess and insecure.
