Had ours 4 plus years. I used to have to go on roof 4 or more times a year to clean. Had some cheap ones ( 2 different kinds) They caused damaging ice dams. Yes there is some increase in icicles ( which they did inform me before install and in writing) but no damaging ice dams. Every couple years, I do have to wash them but I have lots of trees around me and they have always caused a mess to my gutters. A quick power wash takes care of. More than traditional gutters but piece of mind was worth every penny. Had a small leak early spring. They came and fixed it with no issues so warranty works. There is a little buildup of debris in one corner but not enough to ask them to come and clean it (which I have no doubt they would). My old ones, I had to dig out muck at least one or two times a year. Work great!
